"Since the beginning of time, the elite of Equestria have longed for pony fashions that truly expressed the essence of their very souls. Patiently waiting decades... no, centuries! ...for the perfect pony gown. Today, at long last, Equestria, your wait is over! Let's hear it for the breathtaking designs of Ponyville's own Rarity!"
Applejack in the 'ugly' version of her gala dress, presented in 'Suited for Success'. She was a commission for
and is not for sale. She's definitely the best AJ I've ever made (outfit aside), and I'm really happy with how the 'gown' turned out as well! I couldn't find an appropriate fabric for her skirt, so I sewed a hundred or so 1"x1" squares together to make a piece of checked fabric right for the job. That was fun. Her skirt and overalls are cotton, with gold buttons, and it's removable with snaps. The scarf is satin, the hat is felt with satin accents, and the galoshes are minky. The galoshes were really hard! The toes are stuffed and there's a cardboard insert in each one to help hold the shape. The cardboard inserts also make them really easy to take on and off - they slip on just like regular rubber boots!
Let me know what you think! Tired now.
