A quick RD while I wasn't doing other things. I tried to make her hair spikier, like it is when she's a filly. I don't really like Rainbow Dash, but I love this plush! The colors are so vibrant, and she's so soft. And her face just makes me want to squish the pudding out of her. The colors in the top right picture are most accurate - I tried some different settings on my camera to try and make the best of the little lighting I had
I love your plushies soooo much! They're so adorable. :')
I know you don't give out your pattern and I'm not asking for it because I am using "ValleyViolet's" pattern, but what is the best way to attach the head without having the stitched become noticeable. I just made my first one this week and I'm still trying to get the hang of making plushies, so they can start becoming to look higher quality/professional. My first plushie is hand-sewn/hand-embroidered.
She looks like she could be stuffed a little more firmly, particularly in the head region. Overstuffing the head a little will plump it out more. I just use very fine hand stitches to attach the head - stitches tend to be less noticeable on minky than fleece, so it might be a fabric issue you're having.
Yea, I didn't want to overstuff her and make her look so big, but she is a bit floppy so that's why she's so narrow.
I'll try to use very fine hand stitches next time I make another plushie. And I was also thinking of using minky next time, but is it harder to sew with minky than fleece?
Sorry with the questions, but do you think they sell minky at normal stores like Walmart or Michael's or do I need to buy it online?
If you're interested in something that's not on there, you can note me for a specific quote.
