Laying Chryssie by fireflytwinkletoes Laying Chryssie by fireflytwinkletoes
Presenting the prototype of my laying pattern! I don't know why I always seem to make Chrysalis when I'm testing new patterns, but apparently that's my schtick. It's a terrible idea, really - the black minky and the fact that she's so bloody detailed detracts from seeing the nuances of the new pattern. That and the fact that these pictures are pretty terrible - I took them in low light because I just finished her and couldn't wait until morning because I'm impatient and silly like that.

Anyway! Details on the pattern. I plan on plumping out the legs a bit and rounding the butt - they turned out a little thin (which luckily is perfect for Chrys). The pattern turns out at 10" to the top of the head, and 18" from hooftip to hooftip. This pattern has the same proportions as my mare pattern - the head and body are the same size. This pattern will be commissionable and will be priced approximately the same as my 14" mares.

Laying Chryssie is SOLD :)

Yes, I've seen it. Is Chrysalis priced as a unicorn ($240) or an Alicorn ($270)?

Ah, I understand what you're asking now. Chrysalis herself is actually priced differently because she's quite a bit more complicated than a normal pony. I'll shoot you a note with a quote on a laying Chrys like this one.

Aww she is super cute too <3  Love all her lines, very crisp looking.  That holy hair looks like a a pain in the butt to do, but looks great.

Looks great! Your Chrysalis plushies always have such a great quality to them, especially the fabric you choose for the hair and other shiny parts. The only thing I would say is that the back legs look a but deflated. It could be just the black fabric not showing off all the details of the pattern like you said. But beyond that everything looks amazing! Keep it up and I really want to see another one of these!

Thanks!

I noted in the description that the legs were a bit too skinny - that works okay for Chrys, though, since she's scary skinny. I'll be changing that in the final pattern :)
