Exo

Another of my personal projects! As many of you know, I've been meaning to make a plush of Exo for ages. I really wanted to make a plush of her to carry around at EFNW when I go in May, so I set out to make something manageable to carry...and COMPLETELY FAILED. As I usually do at those kinds of goals. Because my imagination runs away with me and I end up favoring aesthetics over practicality.

So, Exo is made with my new Rearing pose, and her tail is weighted to allow her to balance on her rear legs, which she does very securely. She is made of Snow White, Black, Pumpkin and Jade minky with applique details. She is proportionally smaller than my regular mares, as during my pattern tests I found that if I made her at the same size as my regular mares, the weight required in the tail to obtain balance would be absolutely ridiculous. She stands at 17" tall to the top of her head. Her markings are a combination of applique and fabric fusion techniques, and her long hair dodads are wired so they can be posed. Her tail has strong wire in it to improve support.

I'd really like to make another, simpler character in this pattern to show it off better - there's so much going on with Exo it's kind of hard to see what the pattern itself is like! I think it would be really fun to do this pattern with a pegasus character with large, spread wings - it would look totally majestic! Of course, this pose will be added to my list of regularly commissionable patterns.
